Biography
Artist Thomas Riker creates murals, trompe l'oiel, ready to hang framed canvas paintings, and decorative designs that stand alone for their timeless quality and style. Combining form, composition, and robust colors, Thomas aims at expanding the limits of his clients imagination of "what can be...", while making sure the finished art piece retains it's integrity in the owners home.
A graduate of Northern Arizona University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, Thomas draws upon his knowledge of classical design and art history to convey a finished work of art that fashions a "soul" for the home.
Working mostly in high end residential homes with interior designers from Robb and Stucky Design Studio, and independant interior designers nationwide; Thomas' work has been showcased in magazines such as Phoenix Home & Garden, Arizona Lifestyles, and Arizona Foothills. In television, his work has been featured on NBC's "Cool Homes", and ABC's "Sonoran Living".
Thomas' work can be seen in the May 2008 issue of Phoenix Home and Garden. Showcased in the "Idea File" of the issue, is a combination mural and trompe l' ioel piece for a house in North Scottsdale.
