Neal is Native American and a member of the Oneida Tribe of Indians of Wisconsin. He was born and raised in Shawano, WI and has his studio in the Clintonville, WI area.
In 1996, Neal discovered his talent for drawing portraits in graphite and carbon pencil. The artist did hundreds of commissioned portraits over the next 14 years as a hobby. In 2006, Neal ventured into painting with acrylics and oils, however, it wasn't until 2010, that he committed himself to painting portraits in oil and becoming an artist. He quickly progressed into realism painting of portraits.
Neal is self-taught and has no formal training. He credits his patience, eye for detail, and desire to create lifelike portraits, in his extraordinary progression into realism painting.
