Joyce Gabiou is a Jacksonville, FL Abstract Artist.
Her media is water media and collage. She currently works with a limited palette of color and with texture. Her journey is self-discovery through dreams and memories.
She finds subject matter is secondary to the tools that are used. Color, shape and design are what guide her toward completion
Biography
My joy in painting comes from tuning into my inner being, sharing the core of myself and the creative process with the viewer, thereby creating a dialog between artist and viewer.
I do this abstractly and non objectively, painting - collaging and mixing media as the process sees fit.
My passion evolved gradually over the years as I sought various classes and teachers, both here and abroad.
Most satisfying for me is in the creating rather than the finished product that I send out to the universe.
For as long as I can remember, I've always painted. I've always had a passion for it.
