The Old Dominion Mine Park is located in Globe, Arizona. There I located a trove of old mining equipment and machinery and took several pictures. I thought this rusted hinge made an ideal subject for a small "Heavy Metal" painting. This piece is donated to NEAFAA -- Northeastern Arizona Fine Arts Association for a silent auction the weekend of July 1, 2012. The auction is held at the arts fair in the park behind Charley Clark's Restaurant in Pinetop, AZ. Proceeds from the auctions are used for scholarships for young students. NEAFAA also encourages its members to donate art supplies for school classrooms in the community. In these hard economic times there is a shortage of school funding for the arts.
