I search for rusty pieces of machinery. This one is part of a drilling machine. I photographed it at a museum outside Merced, California and worked from that photo to create this painting in acrylic. I rendered two other paintings from different parts of the same machine.This piece is also available in giclee on canvas framed for $545. It was the first of my "Heavy Metal" series. This image was used with my permission on the cover of the album "Lost on Earth" by Dora Flood.
