New leaves unfurl in stages, leaving fully formed and semi-formed leaves on the same branch.  Older leaves are a bright spring green while the newest arrivals are tinged with reds and purples.  Strong sunlight highlights the texture and the variety of colors.  Please contact me if you have any questions.
