Point Prim Surf in August by Poppy Balser

This shows the basalt rocks of Point Prim, the southern margin of the Digby Gut.  (Digby Gut is a rather unappealing name for the channel of water that connects the Bay of Fundy with the Annapolis Basin.  Put another way, it is the terminus for the Annapolis River, where said river meets the ocean)  I am sure that many a ship in time past has come to grief on these very rocks.  A lighthouse stands above them, automatic now, but once manned faithfully in days gone by.
