I painted this one on the first morning of the competition at Sedona. It was a beautiful spot on the crest of a small hill with views of the red rocks all around. As I was packing up to leave, a guided group came up the hill and the guide stood where I had been painting and announced, "I"m standing on a vortex". Who knew? Can't say I felt the energy, but I did feel very peaceful as I was painting.
