The Artist Says:
"I work in the tradition of earlier representational artists who
painted their surroundings, inspired by nature. My painting style is
derived from a synthesis of late 19th century Naturalism, Tonalism and
Impressionism. I am drawn to the landscape as a source of spirituality.
Beauty manifests itself in subtle ways and what might seem commonplace
to some is inspiring to me. My job is simply to transform the ordinary."
Collectors Say:
(Quote from a client after seeing their commissioned landscape painting.) "Oh my gosh Keith! This is absolutely perfect. It is gorgeous...we both just love it! Thank you so much. I couldn't have asked for anything better. I love it!!!! I can't say I have ever had a vision of something like this and you have captured it so perfectly. H.L., Tampa, FL
"The common denominator amongst the paintings I have of yours is in
their 'richness'...the summer pasture scene and the garden scene are
almost like fine tapestries." GH, Atlanta, GA
Other Artists Say:
"What wonderful work. Looking at your art is like listening to Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony." Lee M Pate, Tracy City, TN
"I love Monet and your work has the same affect on me." C.N., Phoenix, AZ

Biography
Keith Burgess resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains of north Georgia, USA. He has painted the Appalachian landscape from Pennsylvania down to Georgia. Keith's formal art education began in college, where he received a B.A. Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. After college he began a career as a graphic artist/illustrator for a major publishing corporation in Atlanta, where he remained for 30 years. Though he set aside painting during the early part of his corporate tenure, his interest in fine art was always present. He visited galleries, museums and continued to keep abreast of the fine art world. In the early 1990's he began pursuing painting on a more serious level, studying with some of the Country's top artists and attending classes and workshops in his spare time. In 2003 he left the corporate world to become a full time painter.Burgess' sensitive paintings are characterized by fluent, painterly brushwork, eye-catching composition, and expert draftsmanship. Using a warm jeweled palette, he weaves rich tapestries of color and light. His paintings evoke the beauty and serenity of the rural American landscape for which he has a deep affinity. His works are held in private collections throughout the United States and Mexico.
