The Artist Says:
Collectors Say:
"Keith's work contains a freshness and harmonization of color that brings out a realism in nature seldom achieved [by other artists]. Keith is able to capture and convey the spirit of his subject matter in a most remarkable way. Anyone with a trained eye, a love of nature and a love of art will cherish a Bond painting in her or his collection."
- Gary Henrie
"Many good artists look for a 'Grand Canyon' or 'Grand Tetons' to producea worthy painting. Keith Bond can drive down the highway or a country road and find a site just around the corner. The beauty is in the art, not the scenery. The great western writer, Wallace Stegner, returned later in life to his birthplace, which someone had told him was the most desolate place on earth. Stegner wrote that he arrived seeking desolation, but found none. Keith can glorify the most overlooked scene with skillful use of design, color, and composition. No fuji film green here!"
- Dave Sturges
Other Artists Say:
" I met Keith about ten years ago and have enjoyed watching the growth in his work over this time. He has an uncanny ability to capture the look and feel of the locations he paints along with thier seasonal changes. The exciting thing is that he does so with out getting bogged down in unnecessary details or cliches. I look forward to what Keith will come up with over the next ten years."
- Matt Smith

I paint the landscape because I have a profound love of nature. My work is about my emotional and spiritual connection with nature. It is about the awe and veneration I have for God's creations."

Biography
BiographyKeith Bond's passion for the outdoors, especially the untouched, pristine wilderness areas, inspires his artistic direction. This passion stems from his youth; growing up in rural Cache Valley, Utah, where much of his time was spent exploring secluded and remote areas. After graduating from Utah State University, where he combined Art and Marketing courses, Keith was offered a job as Assistant Director of a fine art gallery in San Antonio, Texas.
However, the need to be creating art eventually led him to take a leap of faith and pursue his career as an artist full time. Returning to the outdoors, Keith began painting en plein air. Though he does paint larger pieces in the studio, Keith prefers painting outdoors where he can be surrounded by nature.
He hasn't looked back from his leap of faith, and has quickly gained recognition for his work. He has participated in many invitational, juried, group, and one man shows throughout the country and was featured in Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine in February, 2006 as well as the "Artists to Watch" section of Southwest Art Magazine in August of 2000. He completed an "Artist-in-Residence" sojourn at Glacier National Park, Montana in August of 2002.
Additionally, Keith has received several awards including: 2nd Place at the Robert Sears Dixie Invitational in 2007; Artists Choice: Best Body of Works at the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters Annual Exhibit in 2004; Purchase Award at the Mountain Oyster Club Contemporary Art Show in 2000; and Award of Merit at the 6th International Art Competition at the Church Museum of History and Art, 2003 (the museum subsequently purchased the piece for their private collection).
Recently, Keith has also been commissioned to do several large scale murals, including two for the Senate Chamber of the Utah State Capitol Building (these will be unveiled at the Grand Re-Opening Gala and Dedication), and for Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
